Senators challenge BBL critics: Go to Marawi City

(Eagle News) –Several senators on Friday challenged those against the passage of a Bangsamoro Basic Law to visit Marawi City.

To end the extremist violence, please visit…and you will see ayaw ninyong mangyari ito sa inyo,” Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri said.

Senator Sonny Angara said agreed, noting that BBL critics should see the “extent of destruction” there.

Angara and Zubiri were among several senators who visited Mindanao in a bid to hold a public consultation on the BBL.

Earlier, the senators held a dialogue with Moro Islamic Liberation Front leaders, who expressed their gratitude to the government for its sincerity in ending violence in Mindanao.
