The National Bureau of Investigation has served a warrant of arrest against one of the personalities implicated in the P6.4-billion shabu shipment mess.

The arrest warrant was served against self-confessed fixer Mark Taguba in his detention cell in the Senate, where he has been in protective custody since last year, when Senate hearings on corruption in the Bureau of Customs started.

Earlier, the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 46 issued the warrant against Taguba in connection with the drug importation case filed against him.

The case stemmed from the P6.4-billion shabu shipment that entered the country via Customs express lanes in May.

Also ordered arrested were Li Guang Feng alias Manny Li, Dong Yi Shen Xi alias Kenneth Dong, Eirene Mae Tatad, Teejan Marcellana, Chen I-Min, Jhu Ming Jhyun, and Chen Rong Juan.

Chen Ju Long, also known as Richard Tan or Richard Chen, owner of Hongfei Logistics Group of Companies, Inc., was excluded in the arrest order as he has filed a motion seeking to dismiss the case against him before the court.
