933 out of 1,983 pass Mechanical Engineer Licensure Exam

(Eagle News) — A total of 933 out of the 1,983 examinees passed the February 2018 mechanical engineering licensure examination, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Friday.

Kelvin Mendoza Macatangay of the Batangas State University-Alangilan topped the exam with a rating of 88.75 percent.

Kyle Darryl Tan-Aguilar of the De La Salle University-Manila was second, with 88.35 percent; and Efren Espino Suarez Jr. also of the Batangas State University-Alangilan was third, with a rating of 87.9 percent.

According to the PRC, the top performing school was Batangas State University-Alangilan, which garnered a 99.15 percent passing rate.

The  PRC said the registration for the issuance of professional identification cards and certificates of registration will be held from March 7 to March 16.

It said that registration will be done online via www.prc.gov.ph.

The date and venue for the oath-taking ceremony of the successful February examinees will be announced later, the PRC said.
