Duterte appoints new BOC assistant commissioner

(Eagle News) — The Bureau of Customs has a new assistant commissioner.

President Rodrigo Duterte appointed  Vincent Philip Maronilla to the post previously held by Ariel Nepomuceno.

Nepomuceno resigned in March.

Maronilla and several other Customs officials were implicated in the P6.4-billion shabu shipment mess in May but were cleared by a Department of Justice panel of prosecutors for lack of probable cause.
