(Eagle News) — Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said his record-low net satisfaction rating was a “challenge for us to do our work.”

In a statement, Alvarez said that while he believes that the “17th Congress has done its job in passing laws that respond to the needs of our people in various fields of endeavor,” many “have yet to feel the impact of these new laws” based on his rating according to the Social Weather Stations.

“Hence, there is a need to cultivate further a more free-flowing exchange of communications to be able to reach out to a greater number of people throughout the country..,” he said.

He said this was also “to make them more aware of the reforms undertaken so far aimed at achieving sustained economic growth, political stability and social progress under the Duterte administration.”

According to the SWS first quarter survey, conducted from March 23 to 27 Alvarez had a net satisfaction rating of +1, classified as a neutral.

His net satisfaction rating was +14 in December 2017.
