(Eagle News) — The House of Representatives on Tuesday, May 15, approved on third and final reading a bill seeking for the abolition of the Presidential Commission on Good Government.
With a vote of 162-10, the Lower House approved House Bill No. 7376 that transfers the powers of the PCGG to the Office of the Solicitor General instead.
The powers of the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel were also transferred to the OSG under the bill authored by Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
The bill was co-authored by Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas, Deputy Speakers Gwendolyn Garcia and Sharon Garin, among others.
