Authorities arrested a woman in a buy-bust operation in Rizal on Tuesday, May 22, seizing over P600,000 worth of suspected shabu from her.

The police identified the suspect arrested on C6 Road, Lupang Arenda in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay as Marlyn Villanueva, 46.

“Itong babae dati nang naaresto sa Pasig in 2003, but after six years ay nadismiss din kaso niya, pero muling bumalik siya sa kaniyang pagtutulak at ginagamit siya sa pagdidistribute ng illegal drugs,” Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, regional director of the Calabarzon area, said.

A plastic sachet containing 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P608,000 was recovered from the suspect, who, according to Eleazar, sold the drugs in nearby areas in Taytay.

Villanueva denied the allegations against her.

“Hindi po sa akin iyan. Nagdeliver ako ng uling e. Pinakisabay lang iyan pagbalik, inabot ko lang dun,” she said.

Eleazar said the police would look at the personalities the suspect was supposed to take the drugs to in Taguig and Rizal.

“Sinasabi niyang siya ay ginagamit lang as a courier,” he said.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are slated to be filed against the suspect.
