(Eagle News) — “Intense rains” are still expected today, Wednesday, July 18, in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bataan and Zambalaes as the country’s weather bureau, PAGASA, maintained the “orange warning level” in these areas.
Classes in all levels have been suspended in Metro Manila as early as Tuesday night as heavy rains flooded several parts of the Philippine capital that day.
PAGASA said intense rains are expected for the next three hours in Metro, Manila, Rizal, Bataan and Zambales and that flood-prone areas in these provinces are threatened. Intense rains under the orange warning level means rainfall from 15 to 30 millimeters per hour.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains, with occasional heavy rains, will affect Laguna, Batangas and the rest of Quezon which “may persist within three hours.”
