(Eagle News)—-President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, Aug. 27, slammed Rep. Gary Alejano for his remark the chief executive would visit Israel for health reasons.
“Kung operahan nila ang utak ko dun eh di mas maganda. Wala mang problema,” Duterte said, referring to his trip scheduled in September.
After Israel, the President will proceed to Jordan.
He said he was visiting the two countries to look at how Overseas Filipino Workers there were doing.
“I can have my stomach open, chest open and my brain,” he said.
The Palace slammed Alejano for saying Duterte would go to Israel for medical reasons, noting the chief executive has always been transparent about his health.
Alejano had quoted an anonymous source in making the statement.
