SWS: More Filipinos satisfied with President Duterte’s performance

(Eagle News)—More Filipinos are satisfied with President Rodrigo Duterte’s performance, based on the latest Social Weather Stations survey.

The third Quarter 2018 Social Weather Stations survey conducted from September 15 to 23, 2018 found 70% of Filipinos were satisfied, 14% undecided, and 16% were dissatisfied with the President’s performance.

This was an increase of five points from the 65% gross satisfaction rating recorded in June.

According to SWS, gross undecided also fell by 1 point from 15%, and gross dissatisfaction fell by 4 points from 20%.

“This brings the President’s net satisfaction rating to +54,” the SWS said, noting that this was a 9-point increase, and one grade up, from his personal record-low of good +45  in June.

The SWS said  the 9-point increase in President Duterte’s net satisfaction rating  was “due to increases of 16 points in Balance Luzon, 2 points in the Visayas, 1 point in Metro Manila, and 1 point in Mindanao.”

Rural net satisfaction with the President also remained very good, at +62 (74% satisfied, 12% dissatisfied) in September 2018.

This was an increase of 10 points from the +52 (69% satisfied, 17% dissatisfied) in June 2018.

Urban net satisfaction also stayed good, at +42 (65% satisfied, 23% dissatisfied) in September, up by 4 points.

The President’s net satisfaction rating rose from good to very good in class D or the masa, at +56 (71% satisfied, 15% dissatisfied) in September 2018.

This was an increase of 13 points.

It, however, fell from very good to good in class ABC, at +41 (64% satisfied, 23% dissatisfied) in September, down by 25 points in June.

It also fell from very good to good in class E, at +45 (64% satisfied, 20% dissatisfied, correctly rounded) in September, down by 7 points in June.
