Andanar on Uson’s resignation: “I wish her well”

(Eagle News) — “I wish her well.”

This was the message of Presidential Communications Operations Office chief Martin Andanar to Mocha Uson, who announced on Wednesday, Oct. 3, that she had resigned from her post.

“Mocha is still a diehard Duterte supporter and I am one with her in that aspect,” Andanar added.

In resigning from the post, Uson said she did not want to be a burden to the PCOO, whose budget, she said, was being withheld.

Only recently, Uson drew flak after a video posted on her social media account showed her friend, blogger Drew Olivar, making gestures and squeaking sounds.

Several members of the deaf community filed a complaint against her and Olivar before the Ombudsman as a result.

Prior to this, Uson earned the ire of netizens after another video posted on her social media account showed Olivar making lewd gestures while making a play on the word federalism, which many have said was offensive.

Uson defended the video, saying it was only a way to raise people’s awareness about federalism.
