Gilas and PBA legend Jimmy Alapag has joined powerhouse San Miguel Beermen as its newest assistant coach.
Alapag attended the team’s practice at the Acropolis Gym in Quezon City earlier today, Thursday, Jan. 3.
Alapag is also on his second year as coach of the San Miguel Alab Pilipinas squad in the ongoing ASEAN Basketball League, leading the team to a championship last season.
He previously turned down an offer to become the mentor of the De La Salle Green Archers in the UAAP, citing the potential conflict in scheduling with his current stint in the ABL.
