BSP Deputy Governor Tuaño-Amador named Central Bank officer-in-charge

(Eagle News)–Deputy Governor Almasara Cyd Tuaño-Amador has been named officer-in-charge of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas following the death of Nestor Espenilla.

The BSP said this was until President Rodrigo Duterte appoints the new head of the country’s Central bank.

According to the BSP,  the decision to make Tuaño-Amador officer in charge was made in a special meeting by the Monetary Board, the BSP’s policy-making body.

Espenilla passed away on Saturday after battling tongue cancer.

He was 60 years old.
