(Eagle News)—At least 34 bricks of suspected cocaine were recovered off the coast of Surigao del Sur on Sunday, Feb. 24.
The bricks were discovered by two fishermen in Barangay Bungtod, Tandag City, and reported the same to the authorities.
According to a police report, the bricks had dollar signs similar to those seen in the ones recovered in Dinagat Islands recently.
The drugs have been brought to the Crime Lab for testing.
Earlier, total of 77 blocks of cocaine on the coasts of Siargao Islands and Dinagat Islands in the Caraga region.
Earlier, authorities recovered suspected cocaine estimated at P5.2 million on the coast of Paracale town in Camarines Norte.
This was after a kilogram of cocaine was discovered in nearby Vinzons town.
President Rodrigo Duterte has said international drug cartels were behind the cocaine being found floating in waters of the country.
