(Eagle News) — A total of 5,176 drug personalities were killed in the war on drugs from July 1, 2016 to January 31, 2019.
In a press conference, the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said 170,689 drug suspects were arrested in the 119,841 anti-illegal drugs operations conducted since President Rodrigo Duterte assumed the post.
Based on the government’s figures, P19.4 billion worth of shabu was seized in January 2019 alone, an increase from the P308.27 million seized in December last year.
PDEA and the PNP said 1081 barangays have been cleared of illegal drugs.
