In its 4 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said the LPA, which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility as a tropical depression around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28,  was located 1,380 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan.

Isolated light rains, however, will prevail over some parts as the northeast monsoon continues to affect the country.

PAGASA said the eastern sections of Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds from the northeast and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Luzon

In Luzon, partly cloudy skies will prevail over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and Marinduque.
