(Eagle News)–A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck Ilocos Norte on Sunday, March 3.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit northwest of Burgos at 3:46 a.m.
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of focus of 22 kilometers.
An Intensity IV was felt in Laoag in Ilocos Norte; and an Intensity III in Badoc, also in Ilocos Norte; Bantay, Magsingal, San Ildefonso, Santo Domingo, Sinait and Vigan in Ilocos Sur.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.
