Manila Water to implement water supply contingency plan amid El Niño phenomenon

Several barangays to be affected

(Eagle News) — Manila Water has announced the implementation of a water supply contingency plan that may affect water service in parts of the country.

The water concessionaire made the announcement after the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration announced the El Nino phenomenon was expected to affect the country until June.

According to PAGASA, the following barangays in Taguig will experience “low pressure” or “no water supply” from 6 a.m. of Wednesday, March 6:

  • Central Bicutan
  • Central Signal Village
  • Hagonoy
  • Ibayo-Tipas
  • Katuparan
  • Lower Bicutan
  • New Lower Bicutan
  • North Signal Village
  • Santa Ana
  • South Signal Village
  • Tuktukan
  • Upper Bicutan
  • Ususan
  • Wawa
  • Western Bicutan

Maynilad said the following barangays in the following cities will also be affected.

No schedule, however, has been announced yet.
