(Eagle News)—The Lapu-Lapu government has announced a P1.6 million reward for any information that will lead to the arrest of the killers of 16-year-old student Christine Silawan.
Of the P1.6 million, P1 million will reportedly come from the local government; P500,000 from a Leyte resident; and P100,000 from the Advisory Council of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas.
Silawan’s body was found in a vacant lot in Lapu-Lapu on Monday, March 11.
Her head had been skinned, exposing her skull, the police said.
The police said they were looking for the three people who were last seen with the student.
The Department of Education has condemned the slay, and reminded schools anew to strengthen their security to ensure the safety of students.
