(Eagle News)—–Over P400 million worth of Pantawid Pasada fuel subsidy cards have been distributed to public utility jeepney franchise owners as of March, the Department of Transportation said.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, March 13, the DOTr said the P482,430,000 translated to 96846 distributed cards.
The DOTr did not say when the distribution of the cards started, but the distribution was supposed to be part of the government’s efforts to mitigate the effects of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law signed into law by President Rodrigo Duterte in December 2017.
Under the Pantawid Pasada Program, the government will provide each PUJ operator and driver a P5,000 fuel subsidy card.
