(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte wished the country peace and prosperity as he marked his 74th birthday.
Duterte made his wish known during the celebration of his birth anniversary a day before his actual birthday on Thursday, March 28.
Former Special Assistant to the President Bong Go said Duterte celebrated with members of the Presidential Security Group and some of his aides in Davao.
“My wish is that we will just continue to progress and prosper. Hindi tayo kasali diyan sa mga gulo-gulo sa ibang bayan,” he said in the event, as he wished all those present happiness.
The Palace has said Duterte would spend his 74th birthday with his family in his hometown.
Duterte had said he was also looking forward to catching up on some sleep on that day.
In 2018, Duterte spent some time with his grandchildren on his birthday in Davao.
