Cloudy skies to prevail in parts of PHL today as southwest monsoon affects W. Luzon

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies will prevail in parts of the country today, June 13, as the southwest monsoon affects western Luzon.

Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales and Bataan will also have scattered rains and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, this time due to  localized thunderstorms.

Northern and Central Luzon, and the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
