(Eagle News) – President Rodrigo Duterte conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) on its 105th anniversary on Saturday, July 27, recognizing how the INC “has stood as a shining beacon of faith and inspiration” in the country.
“Over the years, the Iglesia Ni Cristo has stood as a shining beacon of faith and inspiration here in the country. Its ranks are filled with noteworthy citizens most of whom express their beliefs in words and action,” he said in a video message.
Duterte also noted how the Church and its members have been helping the government in “realizing our shared dream of a peaceful, harmonious and progressive nation.”

“As you celebrate this momentous occasion, it is my hope that you will remain committed in propagating the good news of God’s salvation to our people,” the President said. “I wish you a joyful and meaningful anniversary.”
The INC has established its presence in 152 countries and territories around the world. Its members also come from 147 various nationalities and races, according to INC minister, Bro. Edwil Zabala of the INC Public Information Office.
The Church through the years and across the globe has been helping various communities, sharing love through various socio-civic and spiritual activities, he said.
