(Eagle News)–Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over 10 areas as Tropical Depression “Jenny” moves away from N. Luzon.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said “Jenny,” whose center is located 215 kilometers west northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan, is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility this afternoon or evening.
“Jenny” is packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph as it moves west northwest at 35 kph.
Signal No. 1 is hoisted over Cagayan, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Northern portion of Zambales and Tarlac, PAGASA said.
Today, light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains will also be experienced over Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, Mindoro Provinces, and Palawan (including Calamian and Cuyo Islands) due to the southwest monsoon.
PAGASA said gusty conditions may still be experienced in areas under a storm signal, while occasional gusts may also occur in Visayas and in other areas of Luzon due to the southwest monsoon.
As for sea travel, the weather bureau said it remains risky over the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon, including the seaboards of areas still under a storm signal due to potentially rough sea conditions.
