(Eagle News)–Senator Bong Go on Wednesday, Sept. 11, said the next Bureau of Corrections chief should be a “killer.”
Go made the recommendation as he revealed an “exasperated” President Rodrigo Duterte had already started looking for the replacement of Nicanor Faeldon, who was sacked as BuCor chief over the Good Conduct Time Allowance law mess.
Although Go said he had someone in mind, he refused to reveal his identity.
“Kung former military or former police basta killer,” Go said.
Faeldon was sacked following the release of convicts of heinous crimes and the near-release of former Calauan, Laguna Mayor Antonio Sanchez under the GCTA law.
Sanchez was convicted of the rape and murder of Eileen Sarmenta and the killing of her friend Allan Gomez in the 1990s.
A Senate joint panel is probing reports GCTA and hospital passes are being sold by unscrupulous BuCor personnel to inmates.
