(Eagle News)–Gilas Pilipinas went on to clinch the gold in the men’s basketball event of the 30th South East Asian Games on Tuesday, Dec. 10, after obliterating Thailand at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The final score was 115-81.
The Filipinos led by only nine points at the half, but pulled away in the third quarter.
Their win came after the Philippines’ women’s basketball team made history after winning the country’s first-ever gold in that sports event.
The Philippines’ men’s basketball team went undefeated in the 30th SEA Games.
