4.2-magnitude quake hits E. Samar early Thursday

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Eastern Samar early Thursday, July 30.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the epicenter of the quake, which hit at 3 a.m., was  74 kilometers northeast of San Policarpio.

Depth of focus was 22 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
