(Eagle News)–A 5.2-magnitude aftershock struck Masbate early Wednesday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, hit 12 kilometers southeast of Cataingan at 5:50 a.m.
It had a depth of six kilometers.
No damage to property was expected but aftershocks were.
Earlier, PHIVOLCS had said a strong aftershock of the 6.6-magnitude earthquake that struck Cataingan on Tuesday, Aug. 18, was possible.
