(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes early Friday, Oct. 23.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 116 kilometers southeast of Basco at 3:47 a.m.
It had a depth of one kilometer, and was tectonic in origin.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
