(Eagle News)–The Naga airport sustained heavy damage as a result of “Rolly,” the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines reported.
According to CAAP, seriously damaged were the Passenger Terminal Building, fire station building, administration building, and the vehicular parking area.
CAAP said most of the damage was in the form of dismantled ceilings, blown away roofing, and dismantled window panels.
The airport temporarily stopped operations since October 31 at 12:35 p.m.
The Legazpi airport passenger terminal building, for its part, sustained minimal damage in its ceiling boards and runway lights, CAAP said.
Clearing operations have been done.
Masbate airport, Sangley airport, and the CAAP-operated airports in Eastern Visayas on the other hand, did not incur any damage.
Virac airport temporarily stopped operations since October 31 at 2 p.m.
CAAP said airport managers were still on high alert and closely monitoring and conducting inspections at their respective airports.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has said “Rolly” has further weakened and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday.
