(Eagle News) — Cloudy skies and rains are expected in parts of the country today.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected in Visayas and Mindanao due to the tail-end of a frontal system (shear line) affecting the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao.
Flashfloods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains are possible.
Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region and Occidental Mindoro, on the other hand, will have cloudy skies with light rains, this time due to the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon.
The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The northern section of Luzon and eastern section of Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas, and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
