(Eagle News) — Cloudy skies and rain showers are expected in the country today, June 7.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Palawan, and Mindoro Provinces, in particular, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
PAGASA said these were due to the southwest monsoon affecting Luzon.
Flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.
According to the weather bureau, Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region will have the same conditions, but this time due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Visayas and Mindanao.
The rest of the Philippines will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
As for winds and coastal waters, PAGASA said the western section of Luzon will have moderate ones.
The rest of the country, on the other hand, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
