(Eagle News) — Total COVID-19 cases detected among police personnel breached the 30,000 mark after 68 more cases were reported.
According to the latest Philippine National Police data, of the 30,010 total cases, 917 were active.
Over 200, or 275, more recoveries were reported, pushing the PNP recovery tally to 29012.
One additional death also pushed the PNP COVID-19 death toll to 81.
The inoculation of PNP personnel is ongoing, with PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar getting his first COVID-19 jab in June.
The Department of Health has confirmed the local transmission of the highly transmissible Delta variant in the Philippines.
