(Eagle News) — The Philippines on Friday, July 30, announced the extension of the travel ban on travelers from India and nine other countries until August 15.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, also covered by the ban are Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
Meanwhile, Albania, Kosovo, Hong Kong, Hungary, New Zealand, and China, among other countries, are countries considered low-risk for COVID-19, Roque said.
According to Roque, fully vaccinated Filipino travelers from these areas will be subjected to a seven-day facility quarantine.
On the fifth day, they shall be required to take a COVID-19 test.
On Friday, the Philippines announced Metro Manila would revert to an enhanced community quarantine from Aug. 6 to 20.
