Steps to follow when voting in the May 9, 2022 elections

 

(Eagle News) — On May 9, 2022, the first national and local elections in the country that will happen amid the Covid-19 pandemic, begins.

Here are the steps to follow for voters who will troop to the polls to exercise their right to vote.  It would help for the voter to check his precinct number before going to the voting center, by checking the Commission on Elections’ precinct finder (See link here:  https://voterverifier.comelec.gov.ph/voter_precinct)

It is also important to properly shade the oval indicated on the ballot.  And do not overvote — only shade the oval opposite the name of the candidate you are voting for.  Do not shade more than the required number that is being asked in a particular position. Doing so would invalidate the entire ballot and your vote.

In shading the ballot, only use the marker provided by the Commission on Elections.

Remember, your vote counts.
