4.9-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Saturday

(Eagle News) — A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:03 a.m.

The epicenter was 228 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island.

The depth of focus was 143 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
