A Huey Gunship helicopter of the Philippine Air Forces (PAF) crashed at the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division (4th ID) Ground at Camp Edilberto Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City Wednesday.
The chopper, which took off then at around 3 pm, was carrying two pilots and two crew on its way to Task Operation Group (TOG) headquarters at Lumbia Airport in Cagayan de Oro City.
The accident happened when the helicopter was about 10 feet above the ground and about 500 meters away when it suddenly lost its power and control that occurred to crash inside the camp’s golf course.
The two pilots that were injured are now in stable conditions.
Because of the incident, all Huey helicopters of PAF are not allowed to make use of until the investigation was done. (Mary Rose Faith Bonalos)
