MANILA, Philippines – More Supreme Court (SC) Justices voluntarily inhibited themselves from participating in the oral arguments regarding the case of Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay. These are Associate Justices Presbitero Velasco, Arturo Brion and Francisco Jardeleza. In addition to Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta, the total number of Supreme Court Justices inhibiting themselves in the Binay case have reached four. No reason was given for said inhibitions.
