QUEZON City, Philippines – Based on the decision of the appeals panel of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) regarding the increase on the water rate with Manila Water and Maynilad allowed to charge one peso per cubic meter. Although Manila Water is content with the decision, Maynilad plans to re-open the issue with the international arbitrator in Singapore. MWSS, on its part plans to go to court to finally lay to rest the issue.
