COMELEC removes nearly 1 million voters in official voters list

QUEZON City, Philippines, August 19 (Eagle News) — The Commission on Election (COMELEC) urged the delisted voters to apply for reactivation of their registration records for them to be able to vote again in the 2016 election.

Today, almost one million voters were removed from the official voters list.

According to the COMELEC, most of the voters removed from the list were those who failed to vote in two consecutive elections.

COMELEC also said that voters can visit their offices or apply their registration online. (Eagle News Service Jericho Morales, MRFaith Bonalos)
