The Bureau of Immigration (BOI) is fully cooperating with its counterpart in Thailand as well as with the International Police or Interpol after the arrest in Thailand of former Palawan Governor Joel Reyes and former Coron, Palawan Mayor Mario Reyes, with the deportation process now ongoing.
The Reyes brothers are considered among the top most wanted in the Philippines, and are suspects in the murder of a noted environmentalist and anti-mining advocate, Dr. Jerry Ortega.
