Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. confirmed his plans to run as vice-president in the 2016 elections. Prior to this, Senator Marcos went to Davao City to consult with Mayor Rodrigo Duterte regarding his plans, with said mayor announcing his support for said plans.
Senator Marcos also expressed his support for Duterte if ever said mayor has plans to run for higher office. At the same time, Senator Marcos put an end to speculations, saying that he will not run as the partner of Vice-President Jejomar Binay due to political differences.
