The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is targeting more voters from abroad to exercise their right in the 2016 elections, with the COMELEC expecting 500, 000 Filipinos abroad not only to register but to actually vote. According to the COMELEC, 1 million Filipinos registered as absentee voters for the 2016 elections.
