Watch the official attempt of the Philippines for the largest firework display in the world witnessed by members and non-members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.
It was held during the New Year Countdown 2016 at the Philippine Arena, Ciudad de Victoria Complex,Bocaue, Bulacan. According to Maligaya Development Corporation, the firework display lasted for one hour and showed 819,000 fireworks.
Guinness World Records officials confirmed the victory of INC in breaking the record, along with the other two records, the longest line of sparklers lit in relay and the most sparklers lit simultaneously.
“We were able to announce the certificates for the three titles that were attempted tonight by the Iglesia ni Cristo: the longest line of sparklers lit in relay, the most sparklers lit simultaneously, and the largest fireworks display,” said Christina Conlon, Guinness World Records official adjudicator.
