QUEZON City, Philippines — The Commission on Election said it does not need to overhaul the system it has put into place for the election preparations, as it objected to the critics’ use of the word “overhaul.”
It said what is needed are just minor adjustments and some fine-tuning in connection with minor problems encountered by the poll body in its preparations for the 2016 elections. The COMELEC added that no overhaul is needed to fix the problem about the source code as well as ballot printing.
