CSC alerts 2016 examinees to beat February 26 application deadline

DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) in Pangasinan reiterates its call for all examinees for the April 17 Career Service Examination-Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) as the deadline for submission of applications draws near.

Romel Rivera, senior human resource specialist of CSC Lingayen Field Office, said examinees must submit their applications to any CSC office before the deadline on February 26 to avoid the long queue on the last day of submission.

“Acceptance of applicants shall be on a first come, first serve basis and applications shall be closed anytime before the deadline once the target number of examinees of the field or regional office was reached,” he said during the “Pantongtongan Tayo” radio program of Philippine Information Agency-Pangasinan aired on Tuesday.

He said in order to qualify for the examination, applicants should meet the following requirements: Filipino citizen; at least 18 years old on the date of application; with good moral character; has not been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs; has not been dishonourably discharge from military service, or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; and has not taken the same level of Career Service Examination regardless of mode within the last three months before the date of examination.

Rivera said examinees should bring with them the following requirements when applying for CSE-PPT: four pieces of identical passport size pictures with white background, handwritten name tag and signature over printed full name, and with neutral facial expression and both eyes open; original and photocopy of any valid identification cards; duly accomplished CSC Form No. 100, Revised 2015 and examination fee of P500.

Likewise, original and photocopy of birth certificate issued or authenticated by the National Statistics Office will be required for applicants without date of birth in their identification card/s while applicants holding dual citizenship under Republic Act 9225, original and photocopy certification or retention or re-acquisition of Philippine Citizenship issued by the Bureau of Immigration is needed.
