MANILA, Philippines – The Malacañang happily welcomed the approval of the World Bank of a new loan worth $450 million. According to Presidential Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma, this is proof that the anti-poverty programs of the government are working because the World Bank will not approve said loan if it does not believe in the strategy of the government to counter poverty.
