QUEZON City, Philippines – SMARTMATIC cleared through its spokesperson, Atty. Karen Jimeno, that the Commission on Elections now has jurisdiction over the vote-counting machines, ballots and other election paraphernalia after the turn-over of said equipment and materials even before the delivery of the same. SMARTMATIC made the clarification in order to direct all complaints to the COMELEC regarding delayed delivery and others.
