Who would have thought a Filipina would make a name for herself in Hollywood? From “Finding Nemo”, Gini Cruz Santos, a native of Pasay City, has been tapped by director Andrew Stanton of Pixar Films as supervising animator for “Finding Dory”. According to an interview by Ruben Nepales (a Hollywood Foreign Press member), Stanton said Gini Santos was also a writer for such films as the “Toy Story” movies series, “Finding Nemo” and now, even “Finding Dory”.
“We miss her because she’s so good. She was a force in ‘Nemo.’ And she’s so good that she’s the head (supervising animator) of another movie (‘Coco’),” Stanton said in the interview by Nepales.
