UNCANSVILLE, CONNECTICUT- It was an unforgettable performance last Monday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena for UCONN forward Katie Lee Samuelson.
Samuelson scored 40 points, including a NCAA record tying 10 for 10 from the three point line to lift the Huskies for a 100-45 victory over the University of South Florida (USF) Bulls to win their fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference (AAC) title. The Huskies also extended their NCAA record for most consecutive wins with their 107th straight victory.
Since the AAC’s inaugural season in 2013-14, UCONN has dominated the conference winning the tournament all four seasons. The Huskies is aiming to win their fifth straight national title in Dallas as the women’s tournament begins next weekend. The Huskies will be the overall number one seed in the tournament and will begin their journey to its 10th consecutive Final Four appearance at Gampel Pavilion.
